Workshop Aim and Acknowledgements
The EDBT Ph.D. Workshop is intended to bring together Ph.D. students working on topics related to the EDBT conference series. Thereby we want to give Ph.D. students the opportunity to present and to discuss their research in a constructive and international atmosphere. An essential aspect of this workshop is that senior researchers actively contribute to the discussions during the workshop.
For that, we won several renowned researchers to participate in this EDBT Ph.D. Workshop. We are particularly grateful to Klemens Böhm, Klaus R. Dittrich, Peter M.D. Gray, Torsten Grust, Ralf Hartmut Güting, Andreas Heuer, Christian S. Jensen, Jorge Lobo, Nikos Lorentzos, Yannis Manolopoulos, Klaus Meyer-Wegener, Hans-Jörg Schek, Divesh Srivastava, Ernest Teniente, Babis Theodoulidis, Jari Veijalainen, and Ling Tok Wang for actively participating in the workshop.
We would like to express our thanks to the organizers of the EDBT conference and to the working group on Foundations of Information Systems (Grundlagen von Informationssystemen) of the German Computer Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik - GI) for their support concerning all organizational issues. Furthermore, we thank CAS Software AG, GINIT Education Gmbh, and Stiftung Universität und Gesellschaft for their financial support.
